Trust & Safety

Built non-custodial, on purpose.

DropPls is a technology intermediary that connects renters and lenders. It is not a custodian — your skins stay in your Steam account until you choose to trade them.

Draft — requires legal review before live launch.
This safety information is a working draft, is not legal advice, and may change before launch. 草案——正式上线前需要律师审核。

Non-custodial by design

DropPls never holds, escrows, or takes possession of your items. Every rental is a Steam Trade Offer sent directly between you and the other party.

No Steam password required

You authenticate through Steam's own sign-in. DropPls never asks for, sees, or stores your Steam password.

Manual-reviewed drops

Each handoff is generated as a trade task and confirmed before the rental goes active, so both sides know exactly what's moving and when.

Public inventory verification

Listings are checked against your public Steam inventory, so renters can trust that a skin is real and available.

Lender-controlled risk

You set the price, the allowed durations, a minimum renter trust score, and whether identity verification is required. You approve every offer.

Accountability on default

Every renter accepts a Replacement Value Authorization before checkout. If a skin is not returned, DropPls may preserve available evidence, attempt a card-on-file charge for the latest declared replacement value plus the configured 10% recovery penalty, and apply account restrictions after review. Collection and recovery are not guaranteed.

What DropPls is not

DropPls is not an escrow service, an insurer, or a guarantor. It does not hold your items and cannot promise recovery in every case. Only list skins you're comfortable renting out, and only rent within your means.
